Beneath Butte: Mid-meeting Field Trip

The mid-meeting field trip Tuesday afternoon will include lunch at the Historic Finlen Hotel and a tour of the mining history of Butte. Stops will include the defunct Berkeley Pit, the active open-pit operated by Montana Resources, the Granite Mountain memorial, the World Museum of Mining, the underground workings of the Orphan Boy Mine, and our Mineral Museum. It will be a full afternoon, ending with a BBQ dinner.
