Biography & Research Interests

I am a research geologist interested in active faults, earthquake geology, landslides, and tectonic-surface processes that shape our landscape. My research integrates field-based mapping, neotectonics and geomorphic analyses, paleoseismic trenching investigations, high resolution topographic and remote sensing data (Lidar, UAS), and various Quaternary dating techniques to characterize active faults for seismic hazards analysis.

Research Interests:

Neotectonics, Paleoseismology, Earthquake Geology, Geologic Hazards Assessment, Tectonic Geomorphology, Geological Mapping, Structural Geology, Quaternary Geology, Tectonics.

Areas of active research include the Bitterroot fault (western Montana), Fault and Landslide hazards maps using Lidar (multiple counties across Montana), Continental-Elk Park faults (Montana), Northern Ruby Range (Montana), and Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Northern California).
