School Groups

Content:
Tours cover a variety of topics including minerals, rock types, fossil formation, fluorescent minerals, and uses of minerals in everyday life. Tour content can be tailored to what the students have been learning in the classroom. If requested, an overview of earthquakes can be included in the tour. Optional activities include a Scavenger Hunt and Be a Rock Detective.

Length:
Typical tour length ranges from about 45 minutes to an hour. The Museum can cater to your schedule if a shorter tour is necessary.

Parking:
Please allow 10 to 15 minutes to find the Museum and walk from your parking place. The Museum parking area is small and the lot cannot accommodate school buses.
