Where are we?

The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology operates out of offices located in southwest and south central Montana. From our locations on Montana University System campuses in Butte and Billings, our staff travels the entire State to serve both rural and urban residents and their communities.

Main Hall, 1300 West Park Street, Butte, Montana

Exit Interstate 15/90 at Montana Street (Exit I–126).

Drive north to Park Street (approximately 1.5 miles).

Turn west onto Park Street

Travel to Marcus Daly's statue in the center
of the street (approximately 0.8 miles).

 

Drive past the statue
(approximately 0.25 miles)
and turn left, west of the
Student Union building.

Follow signs to museum parking.

We're located on the second
floor of Main Hall, the third
building south of the statue.

Poly Building, 1300 North 27th Street, Billings, Montana

Leave Interstate 90 at Exit 450, and drive
northwest on 27^th Street (State Hwy #3) 2¾ miles.

Turn left near the base of the Rimrocks onto Poly Drive.

Our offices are located on the second floor of the
Poly Building on the corner of North 27^th and Poly Drive.

 

 

 

Parking is best in the lots
behind the Poly Building.
