The Montana Bureau of Mines and Geology operates out of offices located in southwest and south central Montana. From our locations on Montana University System campuses in Butte and Billings, our staff travels the entire State to serve both rural and urban residents and their communities.

Natural Resource Building, 1505 West Park Street, Butte, Montana

Exit Interstate 15/90 at Montana Street (Exit I–126).

Drive north to Park Street (approximately 1.5 miles).

Turn west onto Park Street

 

Travel to Marcus Daly's statue in the center
of the street (approximately 0.8 miles).

 

Drive past the Marcus Daly Statue and follow Park Street past the HYPER building and turn right. New Bureau Location MapThis will take you into the parking lot of the new Natural Resource Building where you'll find the entrance to our Publication Office.

Billing office on Poly Drive and 27th


And Here !!!

Poly Building, 1300 North 27th Street, Billings, Montana

Leave Interstate 90 at Exit 450, and drive
northwest on 27th Street (State Hwy #3) 2¾ miles.

Turn left near the base of the Rimrocks onto Poly Drive.

Our offices are located on the second floor of the
Poly Building on the corner of North 27th and Poly Drive.
